Worship & Music

Worship
Lake Nokomis Lutheran offers two Sunday morning worship services. The traditional worship service includes various components that are important to the Lutheran heritage such as the liturgy, hymns, scripture and more. The blended worship service combines traditional and contemporary elements, including various styles of music and use of instruments. Communion is offered at all services. Nursery care is available at the 10:30 a.m. service.

Music
Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church is home to both vocal and handbell choirs, which rehearse from September through May. All of the choirs sing in regular worship services and special services throughout the year. Participation is open to everyone.

The Adult Choir sings regularly at Sunday worship services singing a variety of traditional choral music as well as music by contemporary composers. Do you sing in the shower? You're qualified! Please come and join us in the Adult Choir. If you need childcare, we have a plan! If you have scheduling trouble, please call our music director, Jodi Gustafson, at the church! Don't miss this opportunity for praise, prayer, fellowship, and spiritual/musical growth! Also contact Jodi if you are interested in being a member of our handbell choirs.

Children’s choirs. Please join us as we sing together, growing in faith through music. All children are invited to sing their praises in word and music. Each group sings and assists in worship on a regular basis. We look forward to seeing you: Joyful Noise (K-3), Saturday mornings at 9:30; Handchime choir, Saturday mornings at 10; Youth Ensemble (7-12), 9:15 on selected Sunday mornings (watch bulletin). Questions? Talk to Jodi Gustafson, Director of Music.

The Adult Ensemble sings regularly throughout the year singing various styles of music including gospel, jazz and much more. The Ensemble also includes various instrumentalists.
